Howdy!

My name is Gabriel Velez. I moved to Oregon about 5 years ago from Texas. I’m looking to finally finish my bachelor’s degree in a new field of study.

I’m enrolled in this course as it is a requirement for the Business Administration major at Oregon State University. Outside of the standard business courses, I’m also looking to emphasize my elective courses on the Supply Chain and Logistics aspect of business.

If I had to pick what I’m most interested in learning about regarding marketing, it would be the importance in identifying the audience and the value propositions have on the development of a product. In other words, how to get people to buy a Ferrari even though they won’t use it on a racetrack.

I’m obsessed with sports including anything from baseball, hockey, soccer, etc. to Formula 1. Traveling is a big passion of mine, I have visited 25 states and spent time in foreign countries like Vietnam, Japan, & Spain. Lastly, I love beer! I have visited breweries throughout the U.S. as well as internationally.

I chose to write about the new NHL franchise awarded to Seattle. I have been following their bid to become the 32nd team in the National Hockey League since 2018. As a new team there is a lot of marketing the ownership group as to consider. Social Listening: Dyson Ltd.

I have a fondness for products that are well engineered. One of companies that always seems to exceed my expectation is Dyson Ltd. I own a Dyson vacuum, a Dyson Air Purifier, and soon a Dyson Lightcycle Morph desk lamp once they re-stock the item. Outside of myself, there are many positive reviews that can be found either written online as well as “Vlogs” on YouTube. Dyson Lightcycle: Review Article Dyson's value proposition can be summarized as Different, Authentic, and Better. All the products they make meet these criteria. I appreciate that Dyson takes the time to identify all the concerns when they design and develop a product.
